How to Unlock All Characters in Mortal Kombat 1

[ad_1]

In Mortal Kombat, to unlock all characters you’ll have to use different methods in different games. A lot of fighting games classily kept players locked out of a good part of the roster. To push them to explore the game fully before they got the fights, to encourage grinding, or just a nice surprise for achieving something weird in-game. Lately, it’s not as much of a feature. Mortal Kombat 1 has kept a few of these little surprises locked away though.

Across the series, Mk is one of the big fighting game franchises still committed to unlockable content. Players don’t have to grind tons to unlock everything in MK 1 though. It’s mainly available from the get go. If you want every fighter though, and all of the Kameo fighters, you might need to jump through some hoops. In Mortal Kombat, how do you unlock all characters?

How to Unlock All Characters in Mortal Kombat 1

There’s a large roster in Mortal Kombat 1. While a lot of fighting games have ditched the unlock system, this franchise keeps it alive. There are some pretty easy methods to get most of them though. You don’t have too much of the game locked out. For a lot of fighting game esports games, you have the whole roster just to even out the playing field. Mortal Kombat 1 keeps 1 fighter back to unlock later. He’s the only one you’ll have to unlock out of playable characters though.

How to Unlock Havik

Havik is a simple one to unlock, complete the story mode. This is a lengthier request, but the story mode is really quite short. Getting it finished up will introduce you to different characters too. Great if you’re just starting your journey to get better at fighting games like Mortal Kombat.

How to Unlock All Kameo Fighters in Mortal Kombat 1

In Level Mortal Kombat 1, unlock all characters isn’t just the fighters. The new Kameo fighters system adds a lot. Some characters have key combos through using the right Kameo. Quite a few of these are actually unlockable. The method is pretty quick though. This is how you can unlock each.

Scorpion Kameo – Level 10
Sub-Zero – Account Level 10
Kung Lao (Kameo) – Level 15
Shujinko (Kameo) – Account Level 20
Motaro (Kameo) – 25

Those are all of the unlockables! There is the matter of the DLC MK 1 characters to unlock. Although that’s pretty simple. You buy them. That’s it for unlockable characters in Mortal Kombat 1. While it is a rare modern fighting game that puts some content behind experience walls, it isn’t all that much content though.

Getting through the conditions to unlock all of the characters is really simple too. The story mode might be irritating to some wi-fi warriors just looking to climb the Ranked mode, but the Kameos will essentially unlock themselves as you continue to play.
